Williams Field would host an air show once a year called "Willie Days". Among other things they would have the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds come and perform for the event. We would clamber out to the roof of our building and watch them practice the week before.

One Sunday afternoon they had a vintage aircraft go down on our property (a Corsair if I remember correctly). It landed out next to the Ride and Handling loop where we would do shock absorber tuning.

They had the mess cleaned up and within about 2 hours you couldn't tell anything had ever happened there.
