Don’t get me wrong. I’m fairly confident the seller has no idea what numbers matching means. Nor does he know how to verify the statement which in itself is setting ones self up for misrepresentation but that’s a leap at this point. If you read the article in the Chevelle Report and see the photos, it’s full of language like original and the like. It looks exactly the same now so I can see where one might just go with that as TRUTH.
Same wrong Radiator. Same Brake Res. Same Alternator on wrong side. Same wrong color convertible top. I don’t see a Clock Mounted on top of dash but if the car was an original Factory Gauges car, it would require a top of dash mount clock.
In reality a Triple Black 66 SS Convertible
Black Top. Black Paint. Black Bench Seat.
Great Stance! Nice older driver. Value will be determined by the engine deck pad stamp being original to the car and verified as not restamped as well as if it’s coded for 325hp or 360hp and true 4 speed.
Muncie 4 Speed and Rear Axle stampings would all need to be verified before any such statements can be made and value attached.
Interesting car.
