For 1970, the 2v was 250 hp.

4v was 300

Boss Cleveland (R code) was 330 IIRC. But a hard to manage (on today's fuels) 11.7:1 compression ratio.

The R Code engine suffers from having intake ports that are too large. Friend of mine runs those heads on his Pantera track car, and uses "port stuffers" that make the intake ports smaller.... but they flow better.

That is about it for my knowledge of Ford V8s, other than EVERY 289 or 302 Windsor I ever disassembled had cracked piston skirts, which I always attributed to the horrible rod ratio.
