You've heard the expression; "like a fish out of water." Well here is the living proof they exist. Pacific Leaping Blennys. These fish no longer swim in the water. They were poor swimmers to begin with and became prey for many predators. They evolved. They breathe through their skin, not through gills. They live, mate and die on rocks washed by the seas which keep them wet. If too big wave comes along, they leap out of it's way up higher on the rocks, hence their name.
This could be how the first creatures left the oceans to become land dwellers hundreds of millions of years ago.
