Is the Motion Corvette LeMans style gas cap used as the actual gas cap on the tank or does the tank retain the original gas cap? Looking at pictures, it appears that the LeMans cap has a flange that is bolted to the fiberglass rear body panel but is there another flange connecting the tank to the cap? In the original Motion parts ads, it is not shown how the cap is connected to the gas tank.
