Default Re: Musclecar Review magazine back on the newstand

Got a copy at the Fred Meyer store here in the NW. Cover says to "DISPLAY UNTIL FEB 18, 2003". Also says its a Car Craft special edition. A lot of stuff for $3.99, though most of its not too deep (pretty pictures though, and good variety).

I saw that Yenko Deuce prior to its leaving Seattle. The gentleman had decided to liquidate his musclecar collection, located in the main floor of his deep-freeze storage business. I was there to look at a couple of Boss 429's with a friend of mine. The seller's Yenko Camaro had just sold, and the Deuce was on a seller's-honor, no-money hold for a buyer out east. Looked like a sharp car, although it was somewhat difficult to tell with it up against the wall with cardboard and covers protecting it from the loading ramp next to it (not quite a museum atomosphere, but safe and dry I guess.)

Funny how the market has changed in 3 or 4 years-I know the Yenko Camaro must have traded for around $50K, and none of us could justify the $60K he wanted for his triple black Hemi Cuda or the $25K for his Panther Pink Challenger TA. (They're all sold now-just a few also-rans remain. My buddy bought two of the three Boss 429's-good move on his part, especially in hindsight!)
