Thanks for the kind words about my Nova. It really is a cool car. The window sticker is original, however over the years, the sun has fadded it a bit, but you can still read Fred Gibb Chevrolet and the COPO 9738 option and all the prices and options. The story on the car that I heard is that it was towed to and from tracks around the Missouri area, and that is how the 16,000 miles got on it. The previous owner also told me that there has never been a plate taged to the car. It does still have some very fragile Mickey Thompson Slicks on it and the headers and traction bars are also original. The original electric fuel pump went out on it at Super Chevy, must have been the way Don Garlits was revving the motor , just kidding. We had to give it a repaint and some new interior pieces due to it's second owner parking it outside for some 25 years or so. All the metal is original and the complete drivetrain is original as well. I wish we could figure out if it spent any time at Dick Harrell's shop, because someone did a great job tuning this motor and carb setup. The reason for firing it up is simply because it has to be one of the best sounding cars I have ever heard, at idle and loping around in low gear. I asked Dennis Barker if he wants to go cruzin around at the Year One show, and he said, "Sure, I just wish we had a golf cart." I told him, "What for when you have a COPO, lets ride . . ."
