The Berger Show this last weekend (August 29th and 30th) was G R E A T to say the least.
"Burnout" Barker was a fabulous host ! ! ! ! Lots of very neat cars, lots of really cool people, a spectular cruise through the countryside in and around Grand Rapids and after the show on Saturday came the burnouts with Jim Parks in the #18 '02 ZL1 (under Dennis Barker's tutelage) starting the show. Of course, then "Burnout Barker" demostrated the procedure himself with his '99 Berger SS. I'm still coughing up rubber from all the smoke Dennis generated.
Unfortuately, we were unable to make it up soon enough for the activities at the track on Friday. Would have liked to seen that too.
As a side note, there is a very nice article in the October 2003 issue of HOT ROD about Jim Park's '02 ZL1.
