From picture 2, it looks like the end of the axle tube has the taper to it which would be the JL8. It has the correct JL8 parking brake bracket welded on as well, but that could have been added. My car is at the shop so I can't compare the rest of the pictures. Did you try cleaning off the paint to see if the rear code was filled in? That seems very odd that someone would have gone through the trouble to fill it in or sand off the code. Even the HD service package rears had codes on them. But picture 1 looks like the date is D 25 2 which would decode as 1972 and they only made them in 69. I'll look around for more information, but it looks like someone converted a 72 rear to discs with JL8 parts. Look around for as many casting numbers and stampings as you can find.
