Default Re: February 2004 issue of Chevy Rumble

I agree that you see mistakes in Chevy Rumble from time to time but it happens with all publications. Super Chevy probably takes the overall prize for inaccuracies with their captioning of photos. Most of the writers submit their articles and photos and never have a chance to see what's happening with them 'til the final product is in the hands of the public. I've chatted with Doug Marion a couple of times and know for a fact that is the case with Chevy Rumble. Doug submits a number of articles for every issue but doesn't know which ones are used until he picks up a copy from the local news stand. For the most part, it's out of his control once it leaves his computer. The layout people are the responsible parties and I'm guessing some of them aren't as 'hard core car nuts' as we. I'll bet Charley, Kevin H., Kevin S., Capt. Carl, etc. could tell us volumes of litttle bits of misinformation included in various articles about their favorite toys. Sometimes it might be tweaked a little to make for more interesting reading but for the most part is just honest mistakes.

Pretty cool article about Helen's car and Doug's driving impressions. I can see her sitting beside him, as calm as can be saying "Check the brakes, I've never tried them before!" I can also see that big smile she probably had when he set the car on it's nose. The lady does like her car!
