There are a lot of different reasons why you would get a check from your insurance company, and they would definately notify you if they are going to cancel your policy. If you notice, you cannot see the "reason" for the check in his photo.
Besides, if his house burned down, I doubt he would STILL be bidding on eBay.
Look at this auction he just put a bid on TWO days ago...

I could be wrong, but I punched up the local news for the town on the check and nothing comes up..might be older than this look-up..maybe someone near there would no...too bad everyone is so skeptical but all the scumbags on the net who run scams make us all that way...anyway, here is the news section link.
