All,
Let me start out by saying, that being on this board has been pretty awe inspiring. I am not a gear-head by any means, but when I was in high school (class of 1984) if you wanted a musclecar you looked backed to the late 60's early 70's as the cars you would want. The knowledge of most posters has probably saved me thousands in any future purchase I would make and I thank you all.
Keep in mind I want to drive this car and really enjoy it. I have owned the best that modern technology is offering right now. 5 Porsche's (2002 Turbo being my favorite), a bunch of BMW's (M5 my favorite there) and numerous Audi's (currently driving a RS6, I have kids

the thing is pushing 450 HP at the wheels and satisfies a lot of my desires.)
I may be one of those stupid guys who have some money to spend, but thinking back to those HS memories always brings me back to good old American muscle cars. My favorite car that I owned as a kid was a 1969 AMX, but my dream has been to own a 1969 Z/28 which I recently purchased. If I had been on these boards I would have known that I over-paid for the car but such is life.
So, my question to you is this: If you could own a car that would cost under $50,000 and be enjoyed on a nice weekend day as a pleasure ride what car would you buy??
Personally I have my eye on a 1970 LS6 Chevelle.
BTW, I would take care of the car as it should be.
P.S., If this is a naive question I apoligize in advance.
Thanks,
Jim.
