The "regular" cars sold out of Yenko did in fact receive stick on crests. These were chrome plated die-cast metal emblems that had the recesses painted black. R/W/B shields were reserved for the high performance sYc cars. Yenko started using these sometime during the '68 model year. No concrete evidence of the use of the Yenko shield emblem has been documented prior to the '68 model year. My guess is it was designed and implemented sometime in early '68. These emblems were used until at least the mid to late 70's, and I've seen them on everything from 4 door Chevelles to full size utility vans.
