If you were to give out the full vin some unsrupulious person can get there hands on it and run the vin, get keys cut, find your address and either steal it or strip it down. Im not sure about old cars but i know that new cars all you need is a vin and a good story and you can go to the dealership and get keys cut.

Amen! This is the problem I'am encountering as I attempt to gather info on the Dale Earnhardt Intimidator SS Camaros. Most know owners are helpful once they understand that I simply want to record the VIN so the cars don't get lost over time. On the other hand, a very few owners are reluctant and I understand their position. I want to respect everyones privacy.

In short, I'am asking any Initmidator owners to contact me so they can be included on the informal VIN list. Any info I gather will be strictly confidential and only shared with other owners.

Thanks for any help Gentleman and Ladies.
