Default Re: ALARM SYSTEMS for Car Storage Building/Garage

Interesting thread. I have always had great security on my buildings and I have a security specialist that I use to handle all of my needs. My new toy shack is 8,000 Square Feet and is climate controlled. It is directly behind my new home and combines the following security devices to protect my investments and my home.

All perimeter doors are 18 Gauge Lead Lined and house Medeco High Security Locks with restricted keys. They also include Folger Adams Electric Strikes, RCI Mag Locks, and a complete 36 bit Card Access Control Systems to gain entry through these high security doors. Once in, you have to disarm the alarm system that includes, Dual Tech PIR Detectors throughout, Photo beams Sensors at all overhead doors, Sentrol Door Contacts, Shock Sensors along all exterior walls, and then a DVAC Telephone line which polls the signal every 30 Seconds to ensure it has not been cut. On top of that, I have indoor outdoor strobes, 30 watt Sirens, a Cellular Backup Device, and a full compliment of Heat, Smoke and CO2 detectors to advise me if there are any other problems.

I also had my security guy install a Honeywell 32 Channel Digital Video Recorder with 24 Day/Night Cameras. The outer perimeter sports 22x Zoom PTZ Cameras capable of Day/Night viewing with Extreme CCTV Infra Red Flood Lights to ensure I can see everything in the dead of night. The inside of the building is equipped with cameras that also record in IR mode for extreme low light recording. I can log on remotely and view any of the cameras from anywhere in the world and can show freinds my car collection right from my laptop with enough detail to floor them.

Needless to say, my cars and my home are very well protected, and I also have 2 Belgian Malenois dogs that patrol the property. If any of you ever need advice on setting up real security, let me know and I will hook you up with the man that provides my security. He has secured many oil and gas executives homes and also builds safe rooms, bomb proof rooms and man traps. My new home has both of these options built in, and the system for the house has 247 alarm points securing the 16000 square foot estate. I also had him provide gate access and driveway sensors at the bottom of the hill where I am alerted of any guest or visitors before they approach the security gate. This is all piped back to the house along with 2 camera shots that provide me with 360 degree views.

Some say that I am a security nut, but in all reality, I like my toys and I love my privacy too. I had someone threaten my life over an oil contract 10 years ago and have had this type of protection ever since.
