Phil, My CANON PowerShot S60 (similar to S70,S80) has a Wide Angle Lens and 3.5 optical zoom vs most 5MP Cameras 3.0 ZOOM. Shop On Line for this and read Camera Reviews at sites like.....

I'll be the first to admit I have far to go in learning how better to take pictures....but I can tell you from my recent Barrett-Jackson trip.....it is NICE to be able to stand relatively close to a car and have the wide angle lens capture ALL of the car.....
