Looks like it could be an L-78 or an L-72, maybe swapped from a factory application into this Camaro. Seems odd that a shadetree engine swap car would have an all steel fuel line from the pump to the carb, looks like an idle solenoid on the throttle linkage, factory temp sender in the head, even looks like Packard plug wires still on it. Seems almost too neat to have been a simple crate engine install. Wonder what dealership sold it new? Did those add on sport type mirrors even exist in '68? It might have been painted a little further down the road.
