Default Re: Vintage muscle car reunited with original motor

Yes, The "Supercar Registry" is a referrence to Yenko.net.
We just got the motor back in the car and got it finished literally hours before the scheduled photoshoot w/ Muscle Car Enthusiast on 08-22-06. I have been working like a madman to get everything scheduled due to a limited timeframe when the original owner would be in town for a few days from Alaska. He purchased his airline tickets months in advanced so everything was to be scheduled during a small window.

I had hoped to get my entire story along with photos posted on the Supercar Registry a couple of days before the story hit the local papers but another unfortunate event transpired in the middle of all this. My brother who is 32 years old ended up in the ICU/Coronary Care Unit at our local hospital in very critical condition. We still do not know how things will go for him. All This came on the heels of me having a motorcycle wreck when I was struck by a car while on duty, so you can imagine what my life has been like in the past month.

Due to limited space, the local paper really edited a lot of interesting details out of my story but surprisingly made only a couple of clerical errors.
One being in the sentence: "and a fortuitous swap for the 1969 Camaro 375hp/396 Chevelle (JD Coded) in Darrell's car was made with that buyer for the original motor."

Which should have read: " and a fortuitous swap for the 1969 375hp/396 Chevelle (JD Coded) motor, which was in Darrell's car, was made with that buyer for the original motor."
(I guess they accidentally inserted Camaro in there)

When Bruce Hershberger restored my car he had originally restored it with a 1969 375hp/396 Chevelle motor (JD Coded). I pulled this motor from the Camaro in order to swap it for my original motor.

As soon as I can get some things behind me, I plan on posting the entire story with photos under the Members Rides
section of "The Supercar Registry"

Thank You "Over Anxious" for your kind comments.
