Default Re: Biscayne Resto Project

Andrew those dash plugs might be coffee cup holders( just kidding). We parted out or seen parted quite a few 67 & 68 chev cop cars over the years in this end of canada. We would make a point to chase them down for the big blocks. All had 140 speedo, th400 autos, posi and big blocks , one was a l-72. F-41 agree was on most as was ps, pw disc brakes, rally wheels with the moon caps, especially the 68's.All had the door handles and window winders removed in the back. All you could see where the light(s) mounted on the roof and where some had spot lights on the pillar and indication that some sort of protection was between the front and the back seats. You could also see where the communication system was fitted under the dash.
However, none were 2 door posts. I cannot see a officer being comfortable doing his job trying to get a person in the back seat of a 2 door post, Unless it was a chiefs car only or used unmarked for radar traps. But the doors were different colors so it was marked. Fire Dept maybe??
Just guessing but the colour of the car alone is not common for a cop car.Someone must have gm 67 and 68 cop car literature to clear this up for you. Is that tach not 68??
After 68 in our neck of the woods the big dodges took over so we lost interest.
Love to know what those plugs were really for.
