Things were weird at the inspection today. After verifying the VIN did not match the motor, the sad owner pulled out a warranty book with yet ANOTHER VIN number on the protect -0- plate !!!
The vehicle was originally blue
upon inspection (trim tag says green) and there was no mounting bracket for the four speed console,
it was sheet metal screwed in to the floor. It was an X code correct 425 dual quad motor,
but not from this car.
After giving the owner my report he ‘kind of slumped in a chair in the office.
He says he paid 18,000 five years ago.
That’s the first bad investment in a muscle car I’ve seen in twenty years. Maybe its insured well and he can leave it out somewhere.
Oh, and when was the last time you got to stab a 4000lb dual quad 4spd.
I recommend doing it often if you can. !!
