Great pictures; that's when drag racing was the best in my opinion. No air shifters, to delay boxes just genuine musclecars going at it.
A few years ago I saw an old '65 GTO driven by an older gentleman. That guy could bang those gears and that Goat would run. He had writting on his windows that said "Pro Stick" and I thought to myself; now that would be a great class if they really had it. Real cars with manual transmissions racing down the dragstrip
