Did some clean up work today on a 70 project car...removed the old carpeting to clean interior...saw an interesting thing on the cardboard padding. There is a perfed line cut into the padding exactly where the floor shift hole would be..this car is a bench seat/column shift. They must have used the same pad for all cars and the dotted lines told the guy where to punch out the padding...pretty cool. Also found a trim card under the pass. side carpet..trim style, build date and seq. number all match other docs and trim tag...hopefully you can see the line in the photos.
