Default Re: my 67 Z racecar finally saw light of day today

Thanks guys for the comments...and thanks a million for the great sight also!!!

My plans are definitely to keep it a day two type car...I'd like to build a 302 similar to what was run back in the day..and paint the car back to original red and white...the lace?? Don't know if I could do all that...Maybe if I saw a pic of the car from back then...supposedly also had a white laced area on the quarter panel pillar soon after it was new...the owner also engraved the windows with scenes from the countryside...and his name also...he was a real artist..(or maybe just did too much acid...just kiddin')the original owner was always 'supposed to get me pics' of the car racing...but he is kinda of a hippie type and real hard to pin down. He did give me a bunch of time slips from the area dragstrips...I'd sure like to hear from anyone that might remember the car.... I will post some more pics of some of the details of the car that are still intact...like the T-3's...the original riveted door sills..the original radiator.. much of the original red paint is visible in certain areas...also will post some of the 'owner-modified' racing features...like the radiator clamp emergency gas pedal return...or the "roll bar and Dana 60 installation that the original owner installed after he recieved "top-secret" docs from Chrysler Corp. on how to set up a hemi-cuda" ...or the vega gas tank with the fill inside the trunk..."so noone would sabatoge his gas at the track"....hehehe ....if only this car could talk...I imagine it ran in the shadows of some of the big boys back in the days...but probably saw alot of cool stuff!!! I'll post some pics later tonite...gotta get to work!!

Anyone remember the car???

Thanks again!!
