Ken,
I tried one of those and had nothing but problems. I'm sure I set it up properly but the engine would miss and backfire when starting or shutting it off. I went back to points. A set of points and condensor in the glove box is cheap insurance on a trip and easy to change if needed, as opposed to carrying a spare Pooptronics. One less thing to worry about.
