If you come thru the Monterey Peninsula area why not take a Skip Barber class at the fabled Laguna Seca racetrack?...I did it 10 years ago and I had a blast. Heres a link to the track

Kassabians in Pleasanton is kinda on your way up to the Reno/Tahoe area. always 50 or so nice musclecars to check out.

there is also a beautiful Museum up in Danville, Ca. it's more of the 20's - 30's cars Ferarris...one of the finest museums I'd ever seen, art or auto.

these are all in the Bay area of Ca. should you be traveling up the coast.
