I am almost positive that the stamping on pre 1969 mopars (b-bodies anyway) consisted of the following:
first digit- model year (6=1966, 7=1967)
second digit- assembly plant
third-fifth digits- scheduled production date
followed by the shipping order # (usually 5 digits)
