So, what's in the 689 & 749 catalog? Does it go into the Camaros or is it more about the taxis and trucks?

Sooooo.. getting back to main story.

#669- contains certain companies that have specialized vehicles made by GM(Can).
eg. CSL# AAC.... Special equipment for H.J. Heinz Co....Application # GMT HD 1966/L7066
- now reading through the 9 pages of specs...ALL the parts needed for rear diff (every nut/bolt/washer/bearing is listed)
-covers everything from rear ends, springs, frame reinforcement...EVERYTHING THAT WOULD BE DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR PRODUCTION VEHICLE.

Then it moves to "ONE" off options, eg.. HD batteries, Two block heaters, Extra leaf springs, Posi traction front and Rear... These things you would have to install yourself today.

COPO 67-74 Catalogue (catalog)749
- is broken down to a 4 digit # eg, 7001 292 6 cyl engine, followed by the application telling you what model vehicle is what used on or what the description of ALL the parts were

SO... What it does not show is what the website guys are interested in...
There are no L88/L89 numbers listed in the book.
There is a 427 listed which reading through the description I think is for a dump truck..

For us here on the website, it does not have anything to do with HIGH PERFORMANCE Parts.
I think both of these books were for FLEET ordering, trucks with specialized equipment for the trade they would be used in.

There is NO mention of any HP car, Camaro, Vette, Chevelle etc.
As for RED tag cars, I think we need someone who worked on the line in Oshawa to explain that listing. (George Zapora may have the answer)
