The ‘invoice’ has some problems.

Give or take a few dollars on the destination charge, the MSRP would have been $3,685.70. That means they charged the customer $179 for the alarm system. Sales tax is stated as 5% but calculates to 4.3%. There is an unspecified charge of $41.44. No discount but I doubt a ’59 Olds would have been traded in for $505.70 in 1969.

The NY registration label on the windshield lists the VIN as 124379N690228; the VIN tag and invoice shows 124379N690222. Wonder what VIN is on the title. The protect-o-plate photo is hard to read but the last character of the VIN looks more like an 8 than a 2. On the invoice, the last character of the VIN is typed on a line but the line under it is not visible as it is in several other areas on the form. The dash top has been replaced so the VIN tag has been removed from the car.

Got some things to clarify here.
