For the record, anyone who may have seen this guy from the Corvair website talking to me at the show -I had never seen this guy before and hopefully never again ! Full volume, full blast, non stop...within seconds of meeting him he engaged in a full frontal political diatribe that was so loud and so over the top that I was sure he was going to get punched out . I told him to stop, that I was from Canada and was here to talk cars and not politics. He then proceeded with this video at some point later that so badly misquoted my story of my car's history that
I have had to make some apologies to some good folks who are part of that history. He mixed it up so badly that he makes a Texas State Trooper in the story sound like he was a drug dealer. I thought I was having a private conversation about cars and was not happy when this video appeared on You Tube.
I had a great time at the show, and met some great people (not this guy) . Thanks again to Brian and Joe for inviting me and being such great hosts. I told Brian in advance that my car was a work in progress and was not worthy to be in the same room as the other 13
cars. He insisted that I bring the car,and I am glad I did. Very happy to have been a part of such an amazing event.
What could be better... 50th anniversary of the 69 Chevy, an L72 M22 Biscayne on the show poster, a nice cruise to the show and back in one, great car folks... I felt like Cinderella and kept wondering at what point my Burnished Brown ugly duckling was going to turn back into a pumpkin !
