Wow! I know this car very well, never thought I'd see it again. I used to own it and sold it, but it's been over 10 years I'm sure. I owned it for probably 15 years. Car was originally sold to a serviceman in Maryland who then brought it out to South Dakota in 1969 where it went through numerous owners but always remained in the state until I sold it to a gentleman from Chicago. I had copies of all the old titles I got from DMV and a list of the owners that I gave to the buyer.

When I bought it there was a small journal 327, dual quads, and ladder bars but the original transmission and 12 bolt were in place. Paint and interior is the same as when I had it. The gears aren't 4.11 they are 3.73s. I tracked down the original block that had been bored .040 and was about ready to go into a street rod. I bought the block and the original heads. Unfortunately, the heads had numerous cracks and were unusable. The 2.02 heads on it now came off a 1970 Z28 - they have accessory bolt holes in them which is incorrect. I also had the original cast iron intake and carb on it which looks to have been changed. Rebuilt the motor back to factory specs with the 11-1 compression and correct cam. The headers were also on it when I bought it.

The car ran and drove awesome, it was a lot of fun. Really liked to be about 3k RPM when running down the highway. That being said, there's definitely some warts on the car. I really didn't like how the quarter panels had been replaced. They were lapped over an inch or two of the original ones which were cut off. It's visible on both sides when you look inside the trunk. The silver below the moldings was black when I had it and there was some bubbling in the lower fenders and quarters which likely was fixed and repainted silver. The red is also not a factory GM color, I think it's Toyota.

Sometimes wish I had kept it, but for the last few years I didn't drive it much and it just sat because I was working on other cars. Definitely going to be watching how this one goes. Thanks for posting it!!
