Default 1969 Z/28 302 Engine Block V0926DZ 3932386 I 24 8 Standard Bore!

This is a real deal 1969 Camaro Z/28 engine block. The casting number is 3932386 and the casting date is I 24 8 which decodes as September 24th, 1968. The pad is stamped V0926DZ 19N516015. The V0926DZ shows this block was originally assembled in Flint, Michigan on September 26th, 1968 as a 302/290HP engine specifically for the 1969 Z/28 Camaro. This is a real deal DZ 302 block!

I bought this block from a member who purchased it from Jim Dyer's Chevy Classics in the 80's. It was checked out by a machine shop back then and I plan to have it double checked locally just to be certain it has a clean bill of health. This block is also documented in one of Jerry MacNeish's books. The last picture shows the excerpt from the book. You will see there was a obvious typo on the casting date in the book.

This block is in awesome condition. It is still standard bore with no ridge at the tops of the cylinders. 2 cylinders have evidence of light water intrusion on the lower edge of the cylinders as shown. It may stay standard bore or would be perfect at .030 over or less. I see no breaks, repairs, or modifications to this block. All threads are in good shape with no helicoils or thread inserts All lifter bores are in good shape. The main caps are original and in great shape. This is the nicest DZ block I have ever seen.

$3250

Thanks,

Jason
