Fathers Day progress.

Installed the freshened 355 motor back into the 68 yesterday along with the rebuilt M22 that came out of it last year. Kept the scatter shield and Hays clutch since both were new last year. I then pulled the vacuum pump out hoping this cam won't need it but that is still to be tested since this new Crower cam is pretty healthy too. I did leave the MSD 6 Digital ignition in it since most of it was hidden and I feel the new motor will benefit from a good ignition system.

My friend Mike rebuilt the DZ carb last week and I had the 610 intake tumbled so everything looks good and clean now. Added the scripted valve covers to help clear the roller rockers and a high flow water Edelbrock pump to keep things cool. Should make a great little driver once again and now it'll be capable of some long distance hauls. Tonight I'll button up the carb, plumb the coolant and it's ready to roll once again.

Now to rest my back for a day or two.
