Week of March 1.
With an electrician on hand to start the electrical rework Lloyd and I tackled the back wall. It had been constructed with 2x4 60 years ago and covered with clapboard on the outside and chip board on the inside, everything was rotted.

The wall for the low bay area was addressed first, this is where we learned of some of the challenges going forward and I leared what a precision carpenter, woodworker Lloyd is. With his penchant for "overbuilding" I stated that if he had been a consultant on the Titanic, it would still be afloat today.


2x8 studs, anchored to concrete base and side wall, pressure treated sill and wrapped in waterproof membrane, with lots of Butyl seal.


Our plan was to repurpose as much of the building materials as we could. there were about 10 sheets of good 3/4 inch plywood and 2x8 studs that had bben used for interior platforms that we would use for sheeting the new back wall.
