Forty years ago my best buddy's uncle owned a big wrecking yard in the SF bay area. We would go down there on a Saturday (in high school) and get lost in that place. So many cool cars and many of them drivers. We'd pick parts and just search for cool stuff and I even got a '67 327/275 engine for free from the owner. That place was better than Disneyland. The scene in "American Graffiti" where Milner and the teenage girl walk through the wrecking yard at night takes me right back to how cool my buddy's uncle's yard was.
