For 1967 and 1968 Pontiac offered the Firebird H.O. 67 got the 326/285 HP engine while 68 got the 350/320 HP engine. Both years got the side stripes with the "H. O." in them.

Then in 1968 Pontiac offered the 400 H. O. engine: 5 more HP than the 400 (335 vs 330). I have seen many 68 Firebirds with these stripes on them:




They are NOT correct. You could get the side stripes on any Firebird but they would be solid - no "H. O." in them



Order a Firebird 400, 400 H.O. or 400 Ram Air, these are the optional stripes.
