I was the under bidder on that auction and can tell you the main reason it went for what it did was because the 2 high bidders (myself and one other) were after all the numbers for cars that were very very close to the actual VIN and the build dates. All of the drive line was also matching in dates and were dead on perfect for a late April build.
If it wasn't for the fact that it was a real 302 with the matching trans and diff and some hard to find dates, it may never of hit those numbers on an eBay listing. Not saying yours isn't worth the dough, but it would really depend on whether is was all matching drive train from one particular car and date, or if its all mixed parts from various cars.
What is the transmission stamp and rear end dates? What is the engine stamp on your block? Real DZ block or something else? Pics would help as well.
