Default Sinclair Dino Neon Sign

Sinclair Dino Neon Sign

Selling with NO RESERVE on Bring a Trailer. View the auction here: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/sign-234/

This super Sinclair Dino Neon Sign is an attractive and fun display piece. It's in new condition with original plastic around the base. It has the original Sinclair Oil Corporation Officially Licensed Product sticker on the backside. The Sinclair Oil Corporation was an American petroleum corporation founded by Harry F. Sinclair on May 1st, 1916. The corporate logo featured the silhouette of a large green Brontosaurus dinosaur, based on the then-common idea that oil deposits beneath the earth came from the dead bodies of dinosaurs. Sinclair was ranked as one of the largest privately owned American corporations. It owned and operated refineries, gas stations, hotels, a ski resort and a cattle ranch. The company had multiple acquisitions and name changes over the years but is still operational today. The corporate logo featured the silhouette of a large green Brontosaurus dinosaur, based on the then-common idea that oil deposits beneath the earth came from the dead bodies of dinosaurs. The Sinclair “Dino” brand symbol is iconic and recognizable across America. The metal front fascia displays the Brontosaurus dinosaur in green with a white border. The Dinosaur was outlined with white neon. The Sinclair company name and the name Dino is red. The names were outlined in red neon. This is a really fun sign that even children appreciate! MS CLASSIC CARS purchased this sign in January of 2025 and April of 2025 is the first time it's been listed for sale.

The support structure is composed of black finished metal housing. It's equipped with two 120-volt power cords and switches. The sign is in excellent working order. New wood crate is included.
Sign Dimensions: 62”L x 7”W x 33”H

That’s nice there was a very old gas station a few miles from my house
it was closed for years the building was gutted .
I drove by it and paired on a partially torn down wall was the Sinclair
Dinosaur I had never seen a Sinclair sign before!!
(The old gas station is in a very bad part of town)
I don’t go by there very often
