Sold 1968 vintage magazines: Supercars and Chevy 427 Aluminum V8, and more

The Speed & Supercar Oct 1968 magazine is quite focused with several articles about Camaro and other Chevy’s: Testing a Baldwin-Motion Phase III SS-427 Camaro, Build a C/Stock Z28 Camaro, Ram induction mods for Camaro, Side pipes for Camaro and Corvette as well as centerfold color pictures of Mr Bardahls’s Chevy stockers. The magazine cover shows some patina and wear, inside is nice, some yellowing of the pages can be observed. $15.

Motor Trend Sep 1968 magazine includes, among other things: “Chevy’s heavy lightweight” by Eric Dahlquist and refers to the 427 all aluminum big block Chevy that Al Bartz and a couple of other engineers at GM Tech center in Warren were working on back in 1968. Weighing 460 pounds and producing 615 hp with a modified Lucas/Crower injector, price tag was $3,000. Another article “H-O doesn’t stand for Hairy-Olds, but maybe it should”, is a road test of a 1968 Hurst/Olds. The magazine cover shows some patina and wear, inside is nice. $10

Have other magazines from 1966-67, not supercar related but Camaro related: Car Life, Motor Trend and Hot Rod Magazine. Covering the Chevy Panther, illustrations, spy photos, speculations and the famous “Hey, Bill, come look at the Chevrolet Mustang” comment during the Hot Rod Mag Camaro late summer of 1966 road test. Other Camaro-related gen 1 through 5 memorabilia available, ready for a new home.
