I was trying unite this engine block with it's original 68 Corvette with negative results before listing for sale.
The engine (L79 Engine 327ci / 350hp Long Block) was removed in 1971, for it allegedly had a spun bearing I was told. It was replaced with a 307 engine. The engine is not cracked, repaired or modified. The crank spins freely and the original pistons and rods were moved at some point, but are still with the engine. It will require to be rebuilt and the crank turned most likely. The block is standard bore and has no wear at the top lip of the bore, so I believe can remain standard bore. The Double Hump Heads are also original to this engine and are factory with 202 Valves. I also have the original camshaft to this engine, along with the original Oil Pan. I have nothing else for the engine.
