Default Goodyear AZ. Artical

Attention AZ . "Natives"

Here is a good read that appeared in today's, very thin, Akron Beacon Journal about the beginnings of Litchfield, and Goodyear AZ. and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co's involvement in the area.
Go Tribe, Indians are returning to Cactus League play there this month.

Cool story. I did not know that. What a visionary that Litchfield was. I used to pass thru Litchfield Park on a regular basis on my way to Luke AFB which is just up the street to the north. Now I know, "the rest of the story". Thanks!

Sam, Mike, or any other fans of the Tribe, come to Columbus to see the new ballpark and the Columbus Clippers, the new AAA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Last spring I was priveleged to attend the NASCAR race at PIR as a guest of Sprint, courtesy of my brother-in-law. Part of the deal was an overnight stay at The Wigwam Golf Resort. The place is loaded with history of the area and, of course, Goodyear's involvement with its development. To say that the grounds of this resort are beautiful would be an understatement. Anyone can stop in and wander about the facility and see hundreds of old photos lining the walls, chronicling the history of both the Resort and the entire area. Very interesting, to say the least.
