Please make sure they do a second blood test and have it checked by a different facility. A similar but not as serious (almost comical) result came back with my company physical a few years ago. The blood result said I had a high estrogen level and had borderline osteoporosis.

Luckily, during that same week I had my yearly cholesteral check with my own doctor who took a blood draw and sent that out.

Gee what do you think the result was? That one was completely normal.

Thankfully the company has changed medical contractors since then. We will see next week when my next physical is due at the new place.

By the way, that same old facility also failed two of my friends on their cardio stress treadmill tests. The barely English speaking medical assistants informed the guys that they they might die if they continued the test. (Both guys were marathon runners with about 4% body fat and in perfect health). The same assistants had me do the test three times in a row after the first test ended with no paper in the printer. The second test ended with paper in the printer but no ink. The third test ended with me actually passing after 45 minutes running on their treadmill. At least I didn't have to work out that day.

Nothing like using the lowest bidder contractor on something important like your employees' health.

I did fast here is what happen My family Dr retired and a lady Dr took over
I saw him every 6 weeks to monitor my disability from my head injury and to monitor
My blood pressure and every 6 months he would do a blood test to check my cholesterol
So I see the new dr and she did the blood test and my next aportment was in 6 weeks
Well the next day her office called and said I had to come back asp
When In get there she tells me I am a diabetic have hepatitis and some thing is wrong with my liver I told her they made a mistake but she told me she went and looked at all of my blood test for the last 4 years and the # s are the same I then told her ok if my old dr missed something then why did my heart Dr witch had the very same blood reports and said nothing
Any way tomorrow I go for a liver scan and on the 29th I go to a hematologist to check my blood the part the spooked me I received a letter form the hematologist saying they will be checking for cancer MY new Dr NEVER said anything about Cancer
So hopefully by the end of the month I will find out if its good or bad news
I still think someone messed up with doing the blood work or she does not know what she is doing Now for the hard part is the waiting
Ps I am going to another blood test on the 29th
Thanks for all of your support
Norm

One more thing if I do have canser then it is no dought that it was caused by the safety kleen back in the 60s. 70s and 80s I used a lot of it on my skin but I have not touch the stuff for over 10 years so I hope I am lucky
