A short presentation off me Nova67ss, Born as Anders Forsberg in 1957.
Im a farily nice guy with sometimes attitude and a sense of humor the scandinavian way. some have become my friends and some hate my guts.. Thats the normal way of life, U cant love everybody.. And Im not affraid of telling my opinion on things from time to time and even some advice.. Some have also asked Q about my knowledge about racing, american cars and Syclone in perticular. well the last one is the easyest to answer, Ive been a close friend to Robert for the past 8-9 years and we´ve discussed racing, engines and chassies for maaaanya of times and thru HIM I´ve learned what I know about Syclone´s.. But my "careere" as a racer/engine and car builder started around -73-74 with scrapyard cars and "demolition derby´s" in big gravel hole quarry where we just smached the cars to peaces. lots of fun. in -75 I went on for Ralley in a BMW 2002, and when I thought I had a mean Beemeer I was "killed" on the streets by a Chevy malibu with a 4 on the floor and from here I whent street AND drag racing for good. Ive allready gotten into the US cars with friend that I helped wrenching, on ther´s Mustang and Satelites and corvettes. I have had a loong break in the racing due to marriage, house, ( did some small driver and wrench asist from time to time) moving, child, and divorce but from about -99 Im back on track, at first with a impala -96 ss for a couple of years and tru him I met Robert. and the rest is history.. Still workin on my Nova 67 ss, hoping to finnish it of so I can take it to the track BUT Ive had some other fun cars . A Nova 66 4dorr "sleeper". a Nova 72 BB with 4 on the floor and 4link cage and huge rear tires (that was one of my most fun cars) Now U see why I´m called Nova [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] But My first car was a Pontiac Firebird 400 -67 that I raced for a couple of years bouth on track and streets..made some 12,80 Et on a 115-116 MPH the converter was the missing link it was a 2500 rpm unit to a engine that started to live AFTER 3500 rpm.. but heck I was only 20-22 and learning [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() I´ll try to get all my photos to a scanner this pic aint no good but its a try, bad scanner though. This is from a "pinkslip" street race in early -82 I was a hotshot from the busches ( Ånge, about 64 miles away) and was down to the city of Sundsvall to make some race´s a friend set up for me, but the other guys backed of when they recogniced me from a racetrack in Hudiksvall (63 miles awayfrom this city) Ive competed on erlier this summer and done a couple of "runner up" results on that track with lots of THEN fast cars.. As Robert does, I do my own engine work (besides mashine operations) and also chassie and rearends and alot more, learned the long way, also Ive atended the Herb Adams Chassie seminar when he was to Sweden the last time THAT was and eye opener and just made the teory on why some adjustments in IRL did work and others not, And here´s a future race team?!?! IF I can convince my son tha car´s are more fun than computers [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() Father and son.from a vacation up north in our summerhouse, now sold..

Ok Ive been playing with the scanner again, and hope U enjoy some more pics from time´s loong ago
Some late -70 to early -80 I think.. Im an oldie and my memory slipps from time to time [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] So its time for race again, summer and sunny and hot weather, Im not a shy man I weare red "shorts" [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() Changing tires is a booooring work. ![]() Easy to remove exhoust system.. 3 bolts upfron and 1 in rear on each pipe ![]() "She" was/is a real beauty, aint she?? ![]() Burning rubber as much as U want "sonny" but..... ![]() I leave U behind annyway [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() Was tight, but the corvette did loose ![]() And soon I got hooked on real race, not just street [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() U got more pics Some years later Ive got the Nova fever.. and same itch on race [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] I got indy ss profile N50x15 tires and the Buick got Slicks, whell U got to try annyway [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] "Stage" ![]() "Green" ![]()

Lots of nice cars on that race.
![]() Anothe race and this time wictory. ![]() Action ![]() Anotherone bite´s the dust ![]() First and only time my "Ol´man" saw me racing, I have just dropped him off for a spectator location for "Best wieu" he´s the one besides my Nova with a cap on ![]() ![]() Ok tänkte visa hur jag gjort. Köpte en B&M Quicksilver golv spak (ingen sätta i orginal konsoll) tog bort orginalspaken helt och tillverkade en aluplåt som passade orginalhålet med skruvar (inga extrahål eller så) Sedan pass prova tills jag fick spaken på rätt höjd dvs jag fick höja den 7cm från golvet för att den skulle komma upp ur orginal konsollen på ett bra fungerande sätt I do a translation from Swedish, I bought a Quicksilver B&M standard consol for flor mount in a test to put it inside a orginal 67ss consoll, first step was to remove orginal konsoll and make a plate (alu) to cover the orginal hole without destroy the orginal hole and fasteners. had to lift the shift mekanism about 2,3/4" ![]() Sedan fick jag kolla och provpassa ihop OM den skulle kunna fungera i orginal locket till orginal konsollen, men tyvärr fick göra egen över plåt som fick justeras för att passa med medföljande konsoll till spaken Testfittings against orginal top cover reviled to much hazzel to make and I did´nt want to destroy orginal pices so I made my ovn topcover ![]() När allt började lira ihop, utseende + funktion gjordes en sista testprovning. (har of course provsuttit i stol o ratt insatt oxå) When all startet to fitt real good I dry tested it with bucketseat and wheel ![]() Nästan färdig mix av orginal konsoll/och Quicksilverspak universal model och egen konsoll lock. Add a lithle flash to it, to much or what?? ![]() Im pleased by the outcome on this projekt, best part NOTHING orginal is destroyed and all is back to orginal in one hour wrenching IF not happy about it.. More pics found in the drawers.. Hope U dont mind? Here its alot of Swedish wrighting but U get the "pic" annyhow .. ![]() -80-81 Sweden Ju mer jag skannar bilderna (dia då änn så länge) desto mera hittar jag.. ni får säja själv om jag blir för nostalgisk och stoppa med "gammalt skräp". En polare uppe i norr med sin pensions försäkring, tyvärr har han cashat in den numer ![]() Runt hammarstrand och även på sundsvalls strippen har ni säkert sett denna "sleeper" oxå en gammal kompis.. ![]() Innan han byggde en stroker motor var det en 340S motor med lite trix i ![]() Östersundare bör känna igen denna kärra [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() Kanske även denna ? ![]() The "girlsnatcher" goes to attac, but she disapeared down under. My brother Carl shared my intresst for a couple of years then he said he grew up? ![]() the moment of truth Någon svettig minut innan den startade.. ![]()

![]() ![]() I have to talk alithle too, U know Och jag ska ju snacka lite oxå ![]() Me and my younger brother, white T-shirt and jeans was invited to go watch a race as "team" with Leif Hellander, one of Swedens famouse funnycar driver and his Starkotter car. My brother is smaller than me so he did the picks inside the funny, not much space there.. Min bror och jag var faktiskt iväg en helg med Leif Hellander och hans Starkotter på lule/Boden banan Mekanikers skulle jag INTE påstå att vi var där som, snarare som gäster eller närgågna åskådare, vi tillhörde samma motorförening (SHRA Sundsvall) och min bror hade varit på ett möte och lyckats prata till oss en trevlig helg. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] Brorsan i vit T-shirt o jeans, inte direkt mekoverall [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif[/img] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Inte mycket plats i en funnycar, eller utsikt heller för den delen, brorsan fick plats i sätet, då han är mindre än mej så han tog dessa bilder [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img] ![]() ![]() Fler kändiasr var i farten den helgen. ![]()
