I am very excited to say that after wrapping up a few details with RT66, having our annual Super Car Reunion in conjunction with the RT66 Classic is going to be really neat. One of those “do not miss” events, unlike any other, anywhere.
I will post a full schedule once is it set in stone, but here is how things are shaping up for our group. Friday up course will be the usual Meet & Greet at the host hotel parking lot, the Hollywood Casino in Joliet. Saturday we will spend the day at nearby Rt. 66 Raceway, with gates opening at 9:00am. As a group, they have us scheduled for 5 time slots through out the day, the first one at 12:30pm, the last one at about 8:50pm, under the lights. Anyone wanting more then 5 passes we will do as a group can do so during the numerous test and tune sessions going on through out the day. There will be racing all day, plus a Cruise-In Car Corral Display area. At 7:00pm is when things will really getting interesting, beginning with Opening Ceremonies, followed by a couple of special match races, exhibition racing by Nostalgia Funnycars and Pro-stocks, Gassers and our group. For you racers, it does not get any cooler then running at night at a major facility. I guarantee you will have goosebumps when you pull out from under the tower, greeted by packed grandstands and the glare of bright lights. For members who would like to participate, but not race, we have made arrangements to have a tent near our group’s pit area for displaying a few supercars, as well as provide a place to just hang out. Anyone interested in displaying under the tent, please contact Rob or I. As mentioned before, to assist RT66, we need a head count of who will bringing cars, and if racing or not. I have attached the list I have, please let us know of any changes that need to be made. Tom Clary- ’70 Yenko Deuce Rob Clary- ’69 Yenko Camaro Jonathan Clary- Red Alert Chevelle Kurt Burdick- ’69 Chevelle Gary Gerstner- ’67 Chevelle Ken Barnhart- ’69 ZL-1 Kim Howie- “70 Gibb Camaro Prostock Dennis Cumby- ’70 Gibb LS-6 Chevelle Frederick Eichhorst Dru- Tim Clary- Emilio- '10 Nickey Blackjack Jim Parks & comapny- Pete Simpson & company,.- Schonye & company- Ken Tibor- Nu Yawk "Beater" Nickey Chicago- Jake Drystra- Dan Vasic-B-M Tribute 1969 Chevelle Doug Perry- Keith and Mandy Egan - '70 GS Aaron Boggs- '70 SS Chevelle
