IVE put more skins on camaros and chevelles than i care to remember, and they are ok..i dont think they even make full 1/4 panels for converts anymore, i know at one time the good mark repops of convert 1/4s where bringing almost what NOS was bringing..

id go to team chevelle and look around there, it ive read many threads about it there, they would have good recommendations and could lead you in the right direction

Talk to Tom Rightler - or look up his 70 Chevelle convertible restoration thread on the Team Chevelle site from several years ago.

Tom's 70 convertible TC thread

Very comprehensive and informative.

When Tom S was doing my body and paint he would take an NOS hardtop quarter and graft it to the existing convert quarter in the area near the upper body line from the jam to just aft of the area where the weatherstrip went from side to side and near the body series stamping in the trunk lip. He would then butt weld them not lap weld. When done they were indistinguishable from a convertible quarter. That guy could work miracles.

I was going to say that you would be better buying NOS coupe quarters and cutting them down probably. There is a pair listed on here for 1500.
