Stupid wiring question
For 70 big block Novas....
Where do the 2 wires from the positive side of the ignition coil end up in the wiring harness? One is heavier white colored, I believe this is from the ignition switch and is coming from the firewall area. Other wire is much thinner with yellow colored insulation outside and orange colored inside... I was trying to research wiring diagrams with no luck. I know it's an ignorant question but I am horrible when it comes to electrical wiring issues... Thanks.... Rich

Well -- it has been awhile since I looked at wiring on a non-HEI ignition ... but here goes.
There should be a smaller yellow wire that is connected to the + side of coil and connected to the starter solenoid -- provides 12V during crank. The other + wire should be connected to the ignition switch -- this should be a resistance wire and it provides voltage while engine is running. Sometime in its life there may have been a tachometer connected to the coil -- this may explain some of the extra wires. Hope this helps you. Craig
