SOLD
Hi Gang, I have a real GM OTC (over the counter) replacement 1967 Big Block 427 hood - bought from GM in the early 70s and painted to match a 1965 Roadster that was custom painted '64 Riverside Red. It was only run a couple years and taken off years and years ago and has sat in the original box for decades. It has some scuffs of course from box wear. There's one chip on the underside I've shown too. There are edge scuffs and scratches and it certainly could be repainted of course. it's dusty. It's a real GM piece, but not assembly line - it doesn't seem like fiberglass, it's like a plastic or composite with the reinforcement ribs underneath... like an aftermarket one. The cheapest offshore repops I see are about $700. Perfect for a driver or resto-mod or rat Vette if there's such a thing around here... ![]() The paint would certainly buff up to be very, very usable and it's a nearly NOS 3894551 GM hood insert that presents beautifully. $400 FOB within 50 miles of LA. If you want to risk shipping it, PPFF and shipping & insurance at buyer's expense. I will wrap and crate it up at cost and I can bring it to Fastenal / Blue lane and will help set up a COD shipment to their depot local to you with them directly. Cheers all! I have the exact same one I use for garage wall art. They are undetectable from top view. That's a very fair price for that hood, someone could rattle can the white or black stripe on it for their garage.
