Default Very Nice '66 327/4-speed Malibu

Clean car - supposed to have been a 327/4-speed car from the factory. I assume it was ordered as a 275hp....

Strong bidding that has already eclipsed $30k - I guess this is the new normal for a while.

The seller shows a few different hubcap options - I prefer the simulated mag look.

It is a nice car and one of my favorite colors in 66. I find the actual description a bit confusing but on the other hand. Maybe just an example of do your homework.

I’m guessing it is NOT the Original Engine or at least it doesn’t specifically say it is? 350hp me thinks not. and obviously not original with an M-22 Trans.

The illusion to a naive buyer could be this is an L-79 car which it’s not since none were produced in 66 Chevelles. That aside. I think the bidding is approaching Fair for Malibu with nice options even if not factory original to the car.

I do hate that GM decided to place that emblem on the actual Trunk Lid for 66 Malibu’s though. Ughhh

Sure buckets and console were available in other models besides an SS. I had a '66 Malibu, factory buckets and console I brought back from Montana a number of years ago. La built.

I wonder if the engine was pulled form a 66 L-79 Chevy II? One look at the casting number or oil filter would tell the story.
