Default Azure turquoise questions

Hello...my first post here...
I own a 69 RS/SS 350 Camaro, correct 55 code azure turquoise, my question is was this a Camaro only color or was it it also a Chevelle color in 69? In 1972 I bought a 25,000 mile 69 SS396 Chevelle convertible that was very similar in color with a white top and Ivory interior. Wish I woulda known, I would still have it!!!

Yes,It was also a Chevelle color. You could get black, medium turquoise, and parchment interiors with it.

Thanks for the info, the color is one of the reasons i bought the Camaro, not to mention that it is an awesome car in itself and a Super Chevy Show winner. I know the Chevelle had Ivory buckets and rear seat, black dash and carpet, all original. Turbo A/T tranny, I wanna say it was 375hp but coulda been 325 (damn as I approach 50 my memory lacks...)anyway the SOB would pass everything but a gas station!

I think that color was also available on Buicks as Turquoise Mist, on Oldsmobiles as Tahitian Turquoise, and Pontiacs as Crystal Turquoise. I have the DuPont color chip charts and it shows code 55 on all these GM cars.
