I was at Rick's last week and looked it over for about a half hour. It's a rough old girl, but she will be sweet when they are through with her. Mr70, They did not get the platform with the car, but they have old pics of it, and maybe some sketches (I can't remember what they said. If you have some pics, other than the one in all the camaro books, I'll bet they would appreciate you sharing them with them.

One interesting note, the trunk pan is a mess. They had welded in counterweights on the underside, and the trunk pan is loaded with huge stress cracks, 8-12" long.

Rick has done his homework with a A-Plus and uncovered a significant piece of Camaro history. It's rough, but in time it will be a great salute to the first generation cars.

If anyone has details that may help. contact Rick at www.firstgen.com

Rick- You have additional pictures other than the black and white standard photo? Are they color. Can I make an appointment to see those?

Not to take anything away from Rick, but I think it was someone down in Australia(Shane?) that told me about this cutaway car a couple of years ago. Rick has taken on the task of restoring it, but I don't believe he is the one that found it. Neat piece of Camaro history regardless.

Yes, Shane found out about it 3 years ago and sent the CRG pics and info. Engine was in a shop class as I recall.
