i was just looking at a butternut yellow 67 Z on ebay and something got my attention.the build date is 06E and the engine assembly code is V0703MO. now i know usally the engine date code should be before the build date of the car but is there any possibility that a engine could be put in a car after the assembly date of the car? if not then the car is NOT a matching number car is it.still looking for a 67 or 68 z.

I looked at a 69 Z several years ago and it had the same problem within a couple of weeks, the very odd thing was the car had a precto plate to match and the owner purchased the car new and had no reason to mess with the info.Could this car have had a engine problem on the line and put to the side and a engine replaced or somthing like that, maby the 67 had the same problem. 06E is the week of the start of the body build-up. Took several days for the car to get thru Fisher and then the Chevrolet side.
